Who we are?
We are an organization ecologically and socially responsible. We promote everyday products that helps to preserve the most endangered part of our planet – our oceans.
In fact, if the oceans devastation keeps at the same rate we are at these days, we will have virtually empty oceans by 2048*. It should be hard for a species that occupies roughly 10% of the earth’s land to mess up 70% of the planet’s entire surface. Yet humans are well on the way to wrecking the oceans.
The oceans are the world’s largest ecosystem, home to 80% of the planet’s biodiversity, and account for more than 97% of its water. They produce nearly half the planet’s oxygen. Lose the oceans and we lose everything.
Almost 80% of the world's marine fish stocks are now fully exploited, overexploited or depleted, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization. The implications for food security and global economies are enormous.

Some animals are vital for the ocean’s eco-system, and one of them is Sea Turtles. They play a key role in the world’s marine life.
In the oceans, sea turtles are one of the two creatures that eat sea grass. Sea grass needs to be constantly cut short to help it grow across the sea floor. Sea turtle grazing helps maintain the health of the sea grass beds. Sea grass beds provide breeding and developmental grounds for numerous marine animals. Without them, many marine species that humans harvest would be lost, as would the lower levels of the food chain. The result could be many more marine species eventually becoming endangered or extinct.
Sea turtles use beaches and sand dunes to lay their eggs. Such coastal environments are nutrient-poor and depend on vegetation to protect against erosion. Eggs, hatched or unhatched, and hatchlings that fail to make it into the ocean are nutrient sources for dune vegetation and therefore protecting these nesting habitats for sea turtles, forming a positive feedback loop.
It’s not only about goodwill and disposition. Technology is key to really make the difference. The scientific community, preservation bodies and marine biologists need data to promote preservation activities. To promote real change, such as approving laws that regulates illegal fishing more data is needed!
One of the best tools available is satellite telemetry. Although this technology is getting more accessible, it is still very expensive to release a satellite telemetry device. There is a relatively high initial investment, maintenance costs and specialized labour required to install such equipment on an animal.
Satellite telemetry is a powerful research tool that helps scientists understand how highly migratory animals interact with their environment.

15% of our profits goes to funding The Endangered Marine Species Rescue Center – CREMA, located in Costa Rica. Could it be more? Maybe… at this point, this has been a costly operation, we only ship good quality products, we have huge advertising costs to promote the initiative, and a growing team. But rest assure that as we gain more efficiencies more will be given towards the preservation projects!
There are many organizations working to protect and preserve Marinelife, but we have found that those located in underdeveloped countries are the ones that suffer the most with funding. While the problem is global, and we concentrate our efforts mostly on developed countries, we will not get anywhere near to the solution.
Although the funds are not available in these areas of the world, the will and energy from marine biologists, researchers, volunteers, etc., is as big as from anywhere in the world. In fact, after visiting and meeting with countless people from the field, we feel confident to say that marine biologists and researchers from these countries are within the most resourceful people we ever met.
If you wish to learn more about CREMA's works, please visit their website.
We do not believe insurance applies to this case. We believe that more important than the tracking is the Sea Turtle we helped save. In any case, you will still have a good quality product to always remember your boundless gesture.
While Sea Turtles can live more than 50 years, an incident can happen at some point. There is a minimal chance an incident occurs not long after tracking starts, although the tracking system generally lasts for a long time.
Transmitter setup methods are used to not harm the turtle, wound its shell, or raise the chances of being trapped. In addition, having a device does not impact their feeding, migration, and reproduction.
While we allow people to adopt a Sea Turtle for recreational ends, this data is essential for scientists and researchers. Most Sea Turtles studies are done on the shores, whereas 90% of a sea turtle’s life is spent in the water. In other words, we are missing critical data to protect them more effectively.

The tracker can last anywhere from months to many years – it’s hard to predict but certainly Sea Turtles is one of the animals where telemetry works for the longest 😊
We understand the concern, but in fact, the telemetry systems are one of the best tools available to support preservation efforts.
Data receiving costs are already included in the price of the product.
Part of the proceeds go to funding The Endangered Marine Species Rescue Center - CREMA. .
You will receive with your purchase a personalized identification card of the adopted animal along with a GPS tracker access so you can follow the journey of your animal.
